In checking the number of meetings that Fletcher has been invited to, it appears that unless they were big fund-raising events he was not interested. After all, us little guys with holes in our pockets will not be shelling out the monies for his campaign. No, it is obvious to me that he doesn’t care about neighborhood blight; he doesn’t care about infrastructure; the only thing that he does care about is being the Mayor of San Diego, and the issues facing the citizens be damned. He doesn’t have time to attend the meetings; he won’t have time to meet with us if elected either.
San Diego does NOT need a right-wing conservative legislation factory like ALEC writing laws for our city. This is what ALEC (American Legislative Exchange Council) has done in states like Wisconsin with “Right-to-Work” and Florida with “Stand Your Ground,” each proposed by ALEC and lobbied for in state legislatures across the country. Who supports ALEC? Big name conservatives like Karl Rove, the Koch Brothers, and here in San Diego — Nathan Fletcher.
Tell San Diego that you want nothing to do with ALEC!
First, Nathan Fletcher tried to rebrand himself as an Independent. And then, despite having previously said that he would never become a Democrat because, “I think there’s unwillingness on that side as well to step out and solve problems…” Nathan Fletcher decided to do just that. It begs the question, what values does Nathan Fletcher really represent?
San Diego, tell ALEC that you don’t want their corporate corruption taking over our city!

This, we believe, is a microcosm of the race for mayor: Alvarez backs the plucky low-income community in a battle against big-money business. Faulconer takes the side of industry. Fletcher—well, we don’t really know where Fletcher is.

Effort to draft Nathan Fletcher as Mayor of San Diego Surfaces

…much to the chagrin of the right-wing e-magazine San Diego Rostra.

Health Insurance Reform That's Not Good Enough for Nathan Fletcher

What kind of laws about managed care providers doesn’t Nathan Fletcher like? Laws that:

…prohibits health care service plans and health insurers from implementing a rate for a new product or instituting a rate change unless it submits an application to the Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) or the Department of Insurance and the application is approved. The Director of DMHC and the Insurance Commissioner would have the authority approve, deny, or modify any proposed rate or rate change.

Click the banner headline more if you want to know how Fletcher voted. Remember the last time you got jerked around by your health insuror, then remember Fletcher’s vote in the assembly when you vote for Mayor.

Is Fletcher one of Spanos' errand boys? Guess again.

Nathan Fletcher, Ophelia’s Avenger, got some work done for Some Big Player Downtown while we weren’t looking.

No donors to Fletcher’s re-election campaign seem like they’d directly benefit from the cap being lifted on CCDC spending except Doug Manchester: his companies gave Fletcher $ 7,800 (transaction IDs 1425838-INC223 and 1425838-INC224).
