Sex in The White House

jillbiden:

I want a fucking chart of the number of times each president and their wife had sex whilst in the White House and I want it to have each room in the White House and how many times they had sex in that room.

I just had bad thoughts about Susan Ford and in no room in particular in the White House.

Stop the expansion of Delegation of Immigration Authority Section 287(g) Immigration and Nationality Act

President Obama won re-election with a mandate to do better on immigration, not to continue broken policies like the Delegation of Immigration Authority Section 287(g) Immigration and Nationality Act. The 11 new applications and the active counties are up for review by the Department of Homeland Security. We need to make it clear that 287(g) should be a thing of the past. Our families belong together. It’s police and ICE that should be separated. When immigrants can’t trust local police, we are more vulnerable to dangerous criminals.

We want to see a difference on immigration in the President Obama’s second term. The road to reform can start by terminating 287(g). It leads to racial profiling, makes us all less safe, and should be ended.

A year and a half ago, we wrote about Daniel Ellsberg (the guy who leaked The Pentagon Papers to the NY Times a few decades back) talking about his personal theory as to why Obama was so vindictive against leaks, despite an outward persona (and specific statements) that totally contradicted the position. His belief was that Obama was so vindictive about whistleblowing, because all of those whistleblowing cases revealed things that were embarrassing to the President. The fact that the White House doesn’t seem to have a problem with this particular leak of classified info — one that more or less makes them look good — certainly adds significant weight to that theory.

Business as usual in the face of OWS

Here’s how to translate this move: companies are saying they can’t attract investment unless they can hide their financials from investors. So the CEOs and gazillionaires on Obama’s Jobs Council want the politically-vulnerable president to give them license to cook the books in exchange for support for his jobs program. From the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:

"All you’re going to do is have more fraud. The ultimate losers are going to be investors," said Jeff Klink, a former federal prosecutor whose Gateway Center firm helps clients prevent and detect fraud.

If the financial crisis proved anything, it’s that Wall Street companies in particular have been serial offenders in the area of dishonest accounting and book-cooking. Sarbanes-Oxley is obviously no panacea, but removing it in exchange for a temporary, election-year job boost is exactly the kind of myopic, absurdly irresponsible shit that got us into this mess in the first place. For Obama to pull this in the middle of these protests is crazy.

If anyone thought OWS has already done its job, and Washington has gotten the message already, think again. They’re not going to change until the protesters force them to change, it seems.

I had some horns up like that in my room as a joke.
New word to describe the Religious Right Wing: theocrat. Use it.

Tell the White House to Stand Strong in Stopping Deportation of DREAMers!

President Obama recently announced a new immigration policy firmly grounded in principles of smart law enforcement. If this policy is fully implemented, it would focus enforcement on dangerous criminals, and keep young people eligible for the DREAM Act (and other immigrants who have been in the country for years) safe from deportation.

This shift in policy is long overdue. Far too many good people have been arrested, jailed and deported during the first 3 years of the Administration. Now, we will keep pushing to make sure the Administration puts its announcement into practice and stands up to the anti-immigrant extremists who are trying their hardest to block this common-sense policy.

However, the far-right is flooding the White House with calls, emails and faxes, demanding the continuation of a radical agenda to deport 11 million people.

Will you sign our letter to the White House telling President Obama that you will stand with him as he confronts the flood of opposition in his path towards a more just enforcement policy?

What Obama Fights For: Giving $9.55 Billion to North Korea to Spend on Nukes

One Korea poster

One Korea: Kaesong poster photo by ninjawil

Yesterday the White House took the last step to owning all three leftover Bush NAFTA-expansion deals with Korea, Colombia and Panama by by announcing that they would send them to Congress imminently. The Economic Policy Institute estimates that we’ll lose 159,000 jobs with the Korea deal alone.

White House To Release Bin Laden Death Photo

WHITE HOUSE TO RELEASE BIN LADEN DEATH PHOTO
Tue May 03 2011 10:22:50 ET

President Obama decided Tuesday morning to release at least one photo showing Osama Bin Laden’s death, a top source claims.

The images, being described as ‘graphic’, are bound to stir emotions in the east and the west, and will likely become the most viewed photographs in modern history.

One image shows a bullet wound to his head above his left eye.

Will it remove all doubt about the death?

The exact timing on the release is being debated.

Developing…

I thought that this issue has been resolved. Why doesn’t anyone read my tweets? Are the pictures found on line fakes?

fuckyeahdrugpolicy:

This is what happened last time President Obama took votes from the public on policy questions.
“It had become clear that as long as Obama’s forums allowed the public to vote on topics for the president to address, the top-ranked questions would be about legalizing marijuana or even ending the War on Drugs altogether. Reluctant to confront the issue further, the White House recently changed its approach and announced an April 20, 2011 event on Facebook in which participants will not be allowed to vote at all. Questions can be sent in by email or posted on the Facebook page, but Obama’s staff will make selections without any public input.”

That’s bullshit, Mr. President.
