San Diego: Home Of The Greediest Person of 2010
Congratulations, Andrew Clark of Bridgepoint Education
.…In an economy still reeling from that fraud, a new high-growth industry — the for-profit higher ed sector — is hoodwinking vulnerable young people into taking on taxpayer-financed student loans they can’t possibly repay
And now this industry, facing federal regulations that aim to rein in its deceit, is waging a massive media campaign based on the phony premise that Washington wants to make it “harder to get the education” students “need to succeed.”
No one is personally profiting more from this for-profit higher ed industry chutzpah than the CEO of the San Diego-based Bridgepoint Education, an enterprise that specializes, of late, in going after returning military veterans. That CEO, Andrew Clark, last year took home $20.5 million
What a feat it is to beat out the likes of Lloyd Blankfein and Don Blankenship. You did it, San Diego, you’re #1 in something.
MIND BLOWN! Most creative ad EVER.

This is so un-wow, so YAWN, without FLASH ON MY IPAD! Are you listening Steve?
Listen to this:
ACT ONE. WALL STREET: MONEY NEVER WEEPS.
Ira with Planet Money economics correspondent Adam Davidson on why—even after everything President Obama has done to save Wall Street, actions which have led to record profits and bonuses—Wall Street seems ungrateful. Adam and producer Jane Feltes head out to a Wall Street bar where they’re told by three finance guys that there’s no reason to thank the President for saving their jobs. Planet Money is a co-production of This American Life and NPR News. (14 minutes)
What I learned from this segment is that Wall Street is not just unrepentant for what they have done to destroy the economy but they feel victimized for being called out for what they have done.
OMG, Sony, you are so greedy and lame.
- not all PS3 systems are backwards compatible to play PS2 games
you won’t work with Adobe to get a working Flash Player plug in for your PS3 browser: I can’t watch Comedy Central clips through your web browser.
Have you guys ever thought about earning money rather than chiseling customers out of $5 a time? What planet do you live on where if you don’t think that you spite people who don’t live in penthouses in Tokyo enough to get off of their asses to save a dollar or two and go to Redbox or the library to get the same movie you offer for $5.
Really, it’s the last time I spend any money on your closed system products. I want to tie your leg to Steve Jobs and throw both of you in to the ocean far from land.
you know you've had too much of everything when....
the sonnava bitch that drove this Bugatti…
